Hi guys,
My husband submitted all paperwork for AOS from a K-1 Visa last summer (2014) and had confirmation of receiving biometrics on August 18, 2014. We were told our case would take no longer than 4 months. After 4 months of waiting we got a letter saying that his case would take a little bit longer, but no later than 6 months more. 7+ months have passed since that letter (11 all together since filing) and still nothing. Our case status online has said "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" for a year now. We have called USCIS at least 10+ times. The most recent 3 of which we got a "confirmation number" that our case was escalated since outside of normal processing times, and that we'd hear back within 5-10 days by letter or e-mail. Each time (we called 3 times to get this 'escalated'...) with NO response whatsoever. I tell USCIS this and of course they don't care of know why. They have said they would contact us within this time-frame 3 times. I have given up. I now reached out to my senator, who gave me the response "They are working on it". This is INSANE. My husband's work permit will now expire since it has taken so long, and I have utilized all resources.
Anyone else in the same boat?? Ugh.....
Please let me know if you guys have any advice...
