Place of Birth discrepency from passport vs Birth certificate I 485

Hello

I hear from lot of folks that Birth certificate is very important for filing I 485 and i want to make sure i got this right

Did anyone face the issue where the place of birth is different from passport and birth certificate?
Its in the same state but passport says district name and BC shows village name
Will changing the Place of birth in passport a big deal as it was the same from quite some time ?

Did anyone face the issue before, what should i do to correct this:

--should i get my POB changed in passport matching BC ?
--Would a affidavit be ok confirming that they are the same while filing I 485 ?
