Pending green card approval ?

Hi guys, I am going crazy about my case and I need some advice. So my husband and I went on our interview, and our officer noticed that the agency that did my translation of birth certificate put the wrong date of birth. The officer told us that she wants to approve our case but that we need to bring back the correct translation. We did that the same day. We went back to immigration and gave them the new document,got our paper saying that they received it. More than month and a half now and we still havent heard from immigration. Our lawyer checked and our case is pending. Now i dont know what that means if she said that she will approve us.
Im flying back to Europe soon and dont know what to do, I thought i would have my green card by now.
