hello everyone. I have been following this forum for advice and has helped me a lot. I have a question, see if you guys can help me with it. I got my I485 interview date for sept 10. my wife (us citizen) wont be here as she s away due to her higher studies and has her exam on sept 11. She wont be able to make it. we have been married for 1 yr now and by god s grace everything is going well. what do you suggest me, should i go to interview without her and take necessary documents to prove her unavailability or should i reschedule it rt away now. I have my work permit which expires in january 2016. Please guide me. Thank you all. take care.

Do both: go to the interview with proof that she cannot be there, and request a rescheduling.
If you don't show for the interview and they have not confirmed a rescheduling request, you will be denied and have to spend $600 to reopen the case or submit a new package.

It's not that easy to reach an agreement to reschedule an Adjustment interview, and doubly difficult if you specify a time period you prefer.
