My online case status was changed today to interview is scheduled.the date of my interview was on it and the notice will be sent. What office are you close to and when did yours start showing that your interview is ready to be scheduled. It only took them two weeks to schedule my interview

My mom crossed illegaly in 1989. I was born in US in 1991. She decided to go back to Mexico in 1998. We lived there for 5 years and she applied for a B2 visa and was approved. We came back to USA in 2003 and she overstayed her visa until now. She lost her Visa but we requested FOIA I94 and the admission # was given to us. My mom has her AOS interview scheduled next month. My question is will the immigration officer ask how she crossed the first time before I was born? Or will she only ask questions related to I485 and I130?

I have submitted my case in September 2015 and than i got a call for finger prints. i did my finger prints in October 13, 2015. After that i got an update that your case is ready for an interview we will send you a notice for an interview. But when i will get my work permit? its now one month after my finger prints. I didn't get any update regarding my work permit. Kindly share your experience normally how long the work permit will take after finger prints.

My case is a bit different because mine did not say ready for interview after fingerprinting because they still needed evidence from me but I had my finger printing around April 20 and my work permit came July 14. So that is approximately 3 months after finger printing and five months after submitting my application as a whole. But if your already waiting to be scheduled for interview I wouldn't worry too much about the work permit because once your interviewed and you pass ,your green card will also serve the same purpose. It just means that they'll send you an approval notice while your card is in production. Everyone gets those notices before the card comes. So your fine
