Marriage Certificate Not Available

Hi,

I am a US citizen and want to sponsor my father for a green card. My mother has passed away. I don't have a marriage certificate for my father and am unable to find one in Bangalore.

Any help on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.

Why would the marriage certificate be of that importance, unless he's your step-father, who married your mother when you were a child. Is that the case? If yes, then you would need foremost.

However, if he is your biological father, his birth certificate and yours would be the two necessary documents that would be needed.
