Hi you guys, I really need your expertise on this. So I'm filing for the I-864 for my immigrating wife and daughter. I was a full-time student last year till December when I got a job, making roughly $2500 a month on a 1099 form (not W-2). So my last year taxable income was only $2500. This year, my estimate income would be $3000 a month, which comes in the total of $36,000 a year. My 1099 form will only be available when the tax season come, so I asked my employer for a Letter stating my salary, and got it. Here is my question:
1, Would a letter from my current employer (stating my annual income of 36,000), last year tax transcript of $2500 be good enough for income evidence?
Also, Im thinking about adding my dad as a co-sponsor. My dad filed his taxes jointly with my mom and claimed me as their dependent. In this case, here are my questions:
2, I have to file one I-864 form, my dad files one I-864 form, my mom files I-864a form (for letting my dad use her income), and also, I have to file I-864a form because I did claim me as dependent, and also used my $2500 income from last year. Am I correct doing it like that?
3, If the question above is correct, what would be his Household Size? Is it 5? Because it would be me, my wife, my daughter, him, and my mom.
4, On my dad's I-864, Part 3, Item 1 and 2, how should he check the boxes?
