  • Done AOS Interview, PAssport not stamped, Waiting for Approval

    Dear ImmiHelp,

I just want to share my experience and I also want an advise from you. I had my AOS last Nov 2005, My husband is the primary petitioner , he got his gc 2 years ago, Immigration Officer did not stamp my passort, he said he will review my case and wait for an approval in the mail. Im going for a long vacation in the west coast my question is What if I got an approval in the mail? Does it state there that I have to go home (Newark) and have it stamped ASAP? Or can I have it stamped (my passport) at anytime? My concern here is it would be very expensive if I will go back to NJ just for stamping of passport....our response is greatly appreciated.

You need to get it stamped. You should go there as soon as possible to get it stamped. Even though it may sound expensive, it is worth it. It is not worth the trouble later.
