hi - Currently i am in the process of filling my 485 /325a PDF forms . The below is the issue that i currently face with the PDF forms.
a)I -485 - maximum characters it allows for the family name field is 19 and my last name is almost 30 character.

b)g-325a -maximum characters it allows for the family name field is 21 and my last name is almost 30 character.

How should i be entering my last name in these two forms ?

You could write a note giving your correct spelling. Make sure you note your name n social security number on paper and the Form and the #

In terms of the form, I would write in the space, "See enclosed Letter".
If you put a part of your name, that's exactly how they would rewrite it and you wouldn't want that.

Unless, you avoid the boxes and squeeze your full name in space.
You could also call USCIS and get their advise. Good luck
