Filing 485 in Oct, expiring H1 Sep 2015

Hi,

I'm on H1 with I140 approved, My wife(Principal Applicant) PD become current to File 485 in Oct. So applying as dependent to her.
However My H1 is expiring by Sep30. So by the time USCIS reviews our case my H1 will be expired. My employer is filing for extension probably next week.

Please share thought and advise if some one traveled in same route.
