I have most recently changed my address to another State yesterday Sept 9 and updated a change of address. I have my interview scheduled for Sept 23, 2015. Now because of the change in address, the uscis officer inform me that they will have to reschedule my appointment for that new State address. Please, I have been out of work for a while. Is there a way to still keep my previously scheduled interview in the other State? Checking case status, it says I should receive a notice of response by Sept 21, 2015. Isn't that too late based on my previous interview appointment? Is there someway to expedite a rescheduling? Calling back USCIS officer, they inform me I will have to wait 30 days before I can inquiry about reschedule?
Please someone help?
I called the USCIS and got several different responses between two days. I was told to make an infopass to speak with an officer in the new address area. Another USCIS rep said to mail in my original copy of the interview letter back to the office which gave it to me and write a letter stating that a reschedule is made because of a change in address. I called back a final time on day two of my change in address and was told I should not mail in my original as the letter did not instruct me to do so. I am so confused. These representative were tier 2.
Is any of them correct?
