  • I-130 I485 con current filing for F1 student visa married to USC

    Hi everyone,

I am currently gathering all the information needed to con current filling for GC and here's the list I have for the big package
I am kinda worried that I am missing something since there's not many threads about what documents needed for F1 student married to USC concurrent filing
Please correct me if I am missing something, much appreciated

    Question:

    1. I searched online and found some posts stating it's better to make a copy of all pages of USC passport, is that the case? and if so, would it be better for me to copy all pages of my passport as well?
    2. For the form 864, the sponsor(USC) meets the federal income requirement so I am assuming all the documents will be only his side? I am currently working on OPT so I have income, just not sure if my documents are needed or not?

    thank you very much

    Hiitsrachel,

    1. All pages of USC passport are not needed. Actually, you don't even need his passport info if you are being processed concurrenlty in the U.S., just proof of your cohabitation and commingling of financial affairs. But you do need to provide proof of his U.S. legal status (birth cert, Naturalization cert or U.S. passport ID page).
    2. If your husband's income meets or exceeds the sponsorships, nothing regarding income or employment is needed from you for sponsorship purposes.
