I am transitioning from a work visa to Permanent Residence. Here's my timeline:
July 2, 2015 - Mailed Package to California Service Center. i-485, 1-131, i-765
July 6, 2015 - Package Received
July 10, 2015 - Checks cashed
Aug 3, 2015 - i-485, 1-131, & i-765 were received at my local office (San Diego, CA)
Aug 26, 2015 - Biometrics done (San Marcos, CA office)
Sept 21, 2015 - i-131 & i-765 approved (Travel Permit & Employment Authorization)
I'm hoping for the EAD to arrive in the next couple of days.
Anyone out there who transitioned from a work visa to Permanent Residence without an Interview? Should I expect an interview? Is it common NOT to have an interview when adjusting status from a work visa?
Good luck to all!
