I'm a Russian Citizen, born in Uzbekistan when it was still part of the USSR.
My Russian birth certificate and Russian passport both state USSR as a country of birth.
I also have Canadian citizenship and in the Canadian passport it lists Uzbekistan as my country of birth.
Now, somehow Russia appeared in my labor certificate as a country of birth.
We are thinking about which country should we put in I-485 - I don't think it will be correct to continue with Russia. But if I put USSR - can it make things worse with I-485? Or should I go back to Uzbekistan and try to explain that it was a mistake to put Russia in DOL application?
Thank you.
