Marriage Based adjustment of status

Hi

My partner and I have decided to get married.

We met online more than a year ago. And i recently came to visit her in the USA.

About 60 days into my stay i realised that we were the exact same over FaceTime/Skype than we were in real life.

I asked her to marry me and she said yes!


Now we want to get a place together. and for me to obviously stay in the USA.

I have 0 experience on this. I read online that I shouldn't get married on a visitors visa, which I am on (Visa Waiver program)

However other places advise that this is only if i came to the usa on this visa with the intention to get married, which we didn't.

Hoping someone has had this experience and can advise on what they did.

Hi,

I came with visitor visa and got married,that what every body does don't worry, I was scared too.
I'm still waiting on my interview but I had my employment authorization and social number.
I meet my husband in 2011 and we have a wonderful son.
Don't read too much what they said online I was scared too but then here I realize that every body is doing that.

No. But that is not relevant. When we applied she was.
