Son turning 21!! Can he still file (1-485)

My priority date: January/1998
Sons birthdate: Oct. 16, 1994
Sending all paper work for adjustment: Oct. 9,2015

Can my son still qualify to file for adjustment of status if turning 21 in less than 2 weeks. If I file everything before him turning 21? I talked to a notary, and she said to hurry and send all paper work before his birthdate. However, I heard that the date they use is not the date you send out the files. I am really hoping son can still qualify. Any help on this would be much appreciated as I don't know what to do!? I am confused.

do not ask a notary for something this critical. Check boards (like you are doing) and an experienced immigration attorney if needed.
From what I read it depends when visa is available. When did you PD became current? If it's before your son's birthday, he is safe.
