  • Is it illegal???

Okay so this is my situation.
I applied for GC (I485) and got EAD on hand. My company is a home health agency and I'm a nurse (got my BSN). So as soon as I got my EAD, the owner of the agency called me and asked me to work for them as soon as I can. But when I talked to them, I were beyond pissed!!! The owner said that she does not have enough patients for me to take care to be a full-time worker. So I'm ok with part time. However, since I have to be their full-time worker at least 6 months or 1 year after my GC approval, she wants to pay me full time salary (around 60+ grants a year), but she expects me to pay her back the difference. The problem is that I have to pay a ton of tax and she wants me to pay it out of my pocket!!!
    My questions are:
    1. Can I just work part time for my company (after my GC approval) and get paid for what I do? or do I have to be full time??
    2. I have some juicy full time job offers from other companies, should I accept them? (Since I work part time for my sponsoring company anyway?)
Please advise! Thank you in advance!!!
