  • pending i-485 - employer sold company - what to do?

    Hi everyone,

I am not finding a clear answer on this and before consulting with an immigration lawyer would like to see if anyone knows if this will affect me:

I have a pending i-485 (filed in June) under EB-2. I have been fingerprinted and waiting to hear more. My sponsor company just partially sold (majority of shares but some held back by current majority owner and he remains active "boss") to a nationwide company. My job remains the exact same, with the same benefits and salary, the name of the company is staying the same but the tax ID is changing and my paycheck will be coming from this new company.

Do I need to file something? Is this going to be a problem? I am so close to the end and this happens, someone please tell me I don't have to start everything over!

Don't waste ur time and money seeking for immigration lawyer, cos u are still on the job, due to part of the shareholder that hasn't be sold. U are good until otherwise. But hence ur company has already done everything, u don't have to be worried. Good luck!
