Does i485 waiting time count for US citizen waiting time?

Suppose there are 2 year of waiting time(from submission to approved) for USCIS to process my i485 application, should I still wait for 5 years after my i485 approved or just wait for 3 years(5 years minus the 2 years of waiting for approval of i485)?

GC issue date. You have to wait from that date. Except if you did asylum I believe you are one year ahead.
