I really need every body's opinion or experience with this issue
I am a US citizen mother i filed a petition for my 25 years old unmarried son back in April 2001 which make him under 245(i) benefit
Then filed for I-485 back in June 2005 and couple of days ago me and my son went for the I-485 interview. The officer said every thing looks good but your son needs to go and do the special registration (NSEERS). She gave my son an appointment letter for that and instruction letter telling him as soon as you finish that send a copy of special registration proof so she can complete the case. She also stamped his passport with a pending status and wrote his A# next to it. He was out of status since 2000.
We didn't know that he is required to register so my son never register before and i am really worried that some thing bad might happen when he go to register. Please let me know your opinion and what do you think we should do.
