Hi guys, how r u?
I have a question and need some advice.
I'm currently married to a USC (1yr 5 months).. File for green card, interview coming up soon. During the marriage he has been very very abusive in all ways possible. This caused me to make police reports and he was even arrested once..
The last police report I made was last month and there's a warrant out for him but he's unaware.being that the interview is right around the corner , will they run a background check on him before? And if they do, will they arrest him? Will the warrant affect my case in any way bring that's its domestic violence.. What if after the 2 yr conditional green card he doesn't want to show up for the 2nd interview what can I do? He often threatens to divorce me.

They won't do any checks on him but he might be caught any minute , at a routine check if there's a warrant.
if you care about him and your marriage you need to clean this. If he has warrant and gets in trouble that will make you happy?
if you are in a situation that can't be fixed then divorce him. This is staying with him for the green card otherwise. This won't go anywhere but
to a cat **** *phe if you let him abuse you and you make police reports behind him.

Without first interview you cannot get a status. After that you can try to get permanent card if he's really abusive by yourself.

Thanks for the reply..if he gets arrested I won't be happy but there's consequences to being abusive..and no I'm not staying in the marriage for a green card.im staying because this is my 1st marriage, I didn't get married to get divorced and I believe if he gets counseling he might change..

He will he be arrested at the interview. Someone once said his wife had a warrant and was arrested at the interview. So...
