I-864 Supplement Income

Hi everyone,

I'm sponsoring my parents who are currently staying in the US. They came with B-2 visas. I was in school last year and cannot show enough income according to poverty guidelines. However, my parents recently sold their properties overseas and sent them to me as cash. In my bank account I can show have 5x the difference in income requirement and my current/last year's income. Here is my question, is it acceptable to submit bank statements as assets only?

Also, Can someone please review my checklist for documents? Thank you.

2x I-130 (1 for each parent)
2x I-325A (1 for each parent)
2x I-864 (1 for each parent)
2x I-765 (1 for each parent)

I'm not quite sure what you mean about whether it's enought to submit "only" bank statements in support of the I-864. For example, you're required to submit your most recent tax return or an explanation regarding why you weren't required to file one.
