Hello everyone,
USCIS sent me a letter for a request for further evidence dated on Oct. 5, 2015. However, I received the letter just yesterday which is the 10th of November. There is a stamp by US Mail indicating the delivery date on the 5th of November so that leaves me with only 14 days left to fulfill the requirements and for the USCIS to receive it. Is there any way USCIS would reconsider the deadline because the mail was delayed by over a month before it got to me?
Also, my husband was unemployed for the last 4 years living abroad and he was financially supported by his family during that time so he did not need to file tax returns for the last 4 years. Now, he is working for 5 months in the US and we got married recently. We have no tax returns that we could give to uscis however we already mailed both of our bank statements as well as his current earnings. His only asset now is his car. How do you suggest we go about this situation aside from looking for someone to file a joint sponsor?
Please I need help asap.
Thank you.
