Hello! Some background. I filed I130 + I485 concurrently for my mother and father who are currently in the US recently. I am a naturalized citizen - originally from India.
I mailed my mother's documents in one envelope and father's in a second envelope to the Chicago Lockbox facility with following timeline:
11/05/2015 - Date both packages were mailed by Priority Mail
11/08/2015 - Date both packages were delivered to USCIS
11/16/2015 - Date text messages and emails were received with receipt numbers for my mother's applications (1 receipt for each app - I130, I485, I131, I765)
11/17/2015 - Date the three checks were debited according to my bank account activity for mother's application
11/17/2015 - Date on the 4 physical receipt notices that were received in the mail for mother's application
Question: How come there has been no activity on my father's applications? No acknowledgement, checks not encashed and no receipt notices ? Is this normal? Are the rules any different for father vs. mother of a US citizen?
Thanks for your consideration!
