I am applying for i485 based on adopted child of us citizen. Now it is asking for foreign birth certificate. I have my foreign birth certificate, however, my parents name on foreign birth certificate are name of my biological parent not my adoptive parents. So i don't think it is a good idea to send it. I have vital record that was issued by virginia and parent names are names of my adoptive parents. So my question is which one should i send? Can vital record replace my foreign birth certificate?
