  • Reschedule AOS Interview

    Hi All,
I am applying for my green card thru my spouse. We have our interview on Dec 21, We are unfortunately not in the country then. I called USCIS the day after the I received the letter and rescheduled it. I also took an info pass, went to the field office, wrote a letter requesting the reschedule of the interview. The officer then stamped the letter and my original I797 and gave us a copy for proof of request.

My question is will I get a letter saying my interview will be rescheduled? When I check online for the status, it still shows Dec 21 as my interview date. Is there any way I can confirm the rescheduling of the interview? How long will it be before I get any letter regarding this from the USCIS?
    Thanks,
    Vidhu

    reschedule

i had to reschedule and they mailed me a new letter. my initial interview was on oct 6th which i was not able to go to because my wife was sick. i went in and took a letter from my wife and her prescription from the doctor and they told me that we will send a new interview date. I recieved my interview letter approx 15 days after oct 6th which was pretty quick. our new interview date was approx 30 days after the date we recieved the new letter.

during our interview, we were asked why we did not attend the first interview, so make sure you keep your copies of airplane tickets / boarding passes when you are on a trip.

Also, our new interview date never changed under case status online. Our case status only changed when the case was approved.

But they did not send you a letter saying your request for rescheduling was approved or denied? Did you get a letter saying your request for reschedule was received and they will reschedule your interview prior to the original interview date? (or Did you reschedule on the day of your original interview?)
