Don't understand USCIS processing time frames

Hi everyone,

My husband (Turkish citizen) and I (US citizen) filed his I-485 on 8/10/15. He received his 1-131 and I-765 on 10/21/15. We still have not received an interview date. My question is- how do I read the USCIS processing times? I wasn't entirely sure what they meant. For example, our local office is Boston, MA and it says this on the website:


Field Office Processing Dates for Boston MA as of: October 31, 2015
I-485: March 29, 2015

Does this mean that as of October 31 they were working on applications from March 29? If that's the case then I guess it will be a long before we even receive an interview date...

They clearly have a backlog theyre working through. You will need to wait for your priority date to become current. You are correct, currently theyre processing March and/or April applications.

I am not sure which city you are in, but i wanted to share my experience since the dates are pretty similar.
i applied for the 485 a week before you did, in august 2015. Got my advance parole and EAD on the 1st week of OCT.
i am now done with the interview for green card on the 7th of dec, and now awaiting letter and card. I am hopeful you will hear from them soon also considering it is christmas period and most people are now on leave.
