In response to how long process takes after AOS interview for Green Card
Hi, I see that you posted the initiation of this thread on the 18th of Dec'15. I was called in for the interview on the 7th of December 2015, and my initial application for AOS was filed back in July 30th 2015. My EAD and Advance parole came around 1st week of October 2015. Speaking about the interview for Greencard, it was hardly a 2min process in and out, where the interviewer asked us date of birth of our daughter and photocopies of the whatever documents we had taken along. The guy was a thorough gentleman, and said he will send the application for recommendation and that it will take unto 6 weeks till i actually receive the green card. i was hoping to receiving the letter atleast saying my case is approved as i am leaving for canada on tuesday (day after). if there is someone who got interviewed in december and if they could share how long the welcome letter takes, i would be obliged. good luck to all take care

Interview January 7th, no updates yet. Chicago was our office. The officer was very friendly and even small talked with us. We felt it went great, didnt ask any crazy questions and kept us together. We were expecting an instant approval however, she said she was going to work on our file that day if she had time and we would hear soon. Im kind of confused on how some get immediate stamps in the passport and others are just recommended for approval. Maybe theyre newbies in the immigration system and need to send to a supervisor? Either way, I hate waiting as it keeps us on our toes for wayyyyy too long.
ugh.. Cant wait until all this waiting is over!Marriage-based AOS- CHICAGO Concurrent filing
