I 797 for parents granted... is this good news regarding the i485?

So my parents both received their i797 (notice of employment authorization with i766 to follow) notice in the mail today.

We filed i485's along with i864's and 864a's, i130's etc a couple months back, does the granting of the i797 usually imply/strongly hint that the i485 will go through too?
I can't see why they would grant them permission to work for a year if they were going to deny them residence later... or am I wrong?

This is normal process and they are independent. If the material facts are present they would give EAD and AP.
Also getting AOS is very likely in every case as long as they are qualified. Basically you cannot make any deduction but you should not worry for i485 it will be approved most likely.
