Uscis sent a letter requesting INITIAL EVIDENCE
do you know what that means
am adjusting status, was F1 and my wife is a GREEN CARD HOLDER, 9 more months for citizenship

You're not providing enough information for an answer. "Initial Evidence" is a broad description of more specific evidence that was requested in the same correspondence you received. How many pages was the correspondence you received and what was described as being needed?

so I got the letter from the USCIS today in the mail and
they asking EVIDENCE OF MY LAWFUL IMMIGRATION STATUS AT THE TIME OF FILING THE I-485.
My wife will file for her citizenship in 9months and we have 3 daughters so far ( two of them are citizens)
my PRIORITY DATE WILL CURRENT IN FEBRUARY.
I came on F1 status.

My understanding is that you cannot file for Adjustment of Status unless your Priority Date is current. There is a likelihood that your I-485 submittal will be denied. Still, if you hold off responding to the Request for Evidence until your Priority Date is current in February, USCIS reviewers might accept that as evidence of your eligibility. But don't count on that possibility as saving your submittal, since USCIS usually makes a decison based on your status at time of submittal.

Yeah,but when I submitted the I130 my visa was still valid and they did accepted it.Omg

Meanwhile they can't grant me a work authorization?

The I-130 can be submitted any time, but does not provide Work Authorization submittal eligibility.

Your I-485, however, should not have been submitted until your Priority Date was current, and/or if your petitioner had U.S. citizenship status.

Wait until your Priority Date becomes current or until your petitioner has U.S. citizenship status, then start the Adjustmenet of Status over.

I think it's better to wait until February when the visa is available and send it.
They gave me 87 days to do so or terminate the process,
I think that must be worthy and hopefully by the grace of God it works
