Hi there,
Does anyone have experience with form I-566 as part of an AOS case based on marriage?
My husband and I filed for me to adjust status from my G-4 visa to Green Card and we had our interview a couple of weeks ago. Everything went fine and I was expecting to be approved, but now we have an RFE that is confusing me.
The RFE asks for the form to be resubmitted with certification. It also says to follow the instructions on the form, which specifically state that no certification is needed if you are adjusting from G to immigrant status and to submit directly to USCIS.
I no longer work at the UN, but I made a mistake on the form (checked two boxes instead of one, filled out fields that should have been blank) which might be the source of some confusion. I-566 basically gives USCIS an ID number that referred to me when I was on a diplomatic visa and authorises various agencies to share information on me.
I have no idea how to get certification but can probably find that out. We only have a few weeks to get this sorted. Any experience out there on this form?
