I-485 pending- delay

Well, if it makes you feel better mine is in the same situation. I-485 was applied in July, EOD received in October, priority current under EBA-1. Last time I checked with them my case was under clearance process and it was not yet cleared: "an element of the background check process has been initiated in this case; and it is not yet complete". So I'm just waiting.

How did you check "an element of the background check process has been initiated in this case; and it is not yet complete"? In USCIS (check your case status)?

I-485 help

This is for adjustment of status for a green card for my wife. December 14th We submitted joint sponsors information due to the fact that my income was not enough n they sent back a request for evidence. We sent it in and the status changed to received. On feb. 16th we called in asking what the hold up was, and they submitted a service request that was sent out to us on feb. 27th. The type of service requested was ' outside normal processing time ' and the status is as follows '' USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. Your local USCIS Field Office will contact you once they are able to schedule the apt. Should you not be contacted by your local USCIS Field office within 90 days of this notice, please contact customer service at the number provided below. '' My wife checked the status on the USCIS website yesterday, and the status says denied for both I 485 and I 765 however I 130 still says we have received it and are processing it. I am so confused. We havent even had an interview yet and now its telling us shes denied. I dont know what to do at this point. Still waiting on reason of denial. But why would we be at the awaiting interview stage just to get denied a few weeks later. makes absolutely no sense.

I am Iranian. married an american citizen(non-Iranian). our I-485 RECEIPT date is DEC 2015 and still didnt even go to interview!!! it is almost 1 year and 10 months and no news. the case status is still saying finger print was received DEC 17.!!!
