Recent EAD expedite procesing
Hello...
I got my EAD expedited, today my card was sent to production :-)
So, last week (on January 7th) I called customer service and I explained them the reasons why I needed. My priority date is November 5th, and when I called I was on the day 64 (I think, it was over the 60th day). I told them that I was struggling financially because of credit card debt, and that I was offered a job as a teacher and I needed to start working on January 21st. Given the fact that it is a school, there is no other way because classes start that day. They made the request (it was like a 10 minutes call), and told me they should contact me within 5 days.
On January 11th they emailed me and requested proved that I had a work offer, so I called the principal of the school I will be working, and that same day I picked up a letter that in only 3 sentences said that I was offered a position as a teacher, that I am set to start working on the 21st, and the contact information for further questions. I faxed the letter that same day like at 4:00 pm.
On January 13th there was a change on the history and it said that my request had been assigned to an officer for respond.
On January 14th I received an e-mail and they said that the documentation submitted met the requirements for expedite processing of my application/petition. That my case was currently under review and that I will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.
So, today, January 15th at 1:22 pm I received another e-mail that there was a recent processing action taken on my case. I went to the USCIS webpage, and it was marked as "My New Card is Being Produced"... I could not be happier!!!
I talked to my lawyer because I did this on my own, and she said that she was surprised it happened so easy. We concluded that maybe because it was a school related work they were lenient.
