Wifes EAD card is lost 2 weeks before interview...

We were just gathering all of her papers before our interview Feb 1st and her EAD seems to have disappeared. I am extremely worried that after all the waiting and hard work we put into the application process that we may get denied at the interview. I have read here that some people don't even get asked to present their card at the interview, and I fear that they might ask us for it. I also read that people have received a scheduled interview even before they get their EAD card. Can someone please give me some advice or reassurance that this is not the worst case scenario. We have all the paperwork showing that we applied for it, and that she received it.
