My wife is in the USA with me currently on a tourist visa. She has a return flight to Colombia on Feb 3rd. We have decided to wait until she is in Colombia and file the i 130, rather then filing subsequently because of vaccinations, and other various paperwork that would be easier to get done in Colombia. We also didn't want our i 485 to get rejected while she is in the USA. She is currently on the 3rd month of her tourist visa, and will be returning home in apx 2 weeks. I was going to wait until she is out of the country, send the paperwork, then go back down to Colombia to stay with her. I am not worried about proving our marriage, or anything like that, since there is no chance with our children (together) and having backpacked the world for years that it would be up for debate. The concern I have is there any issue with out plan? Having her stay outside of the USA when we file the i 130 as recommended, then filing the i 485 once she is in Colombia and we have received our number (and done all the various vaccinations, etc). Also, should we change her address on our i 130? I had used her address as our house in the USA. But would it be better if we used her address in Colombia? Lastly, would a religious exemption on vaccinations cause any sort of problems?
