Question for husband (foreigner): how u guy know each other; when married; BOD of spouse; where to honeymoon; name-age-school of all step-childrensl previous working before entering US. He asked for photos and we gave him the whole set of 100+ photos. Then officer asked Yes/No question. Then stamp in my passport temporarily greencard. They dont ask me to return work-permit. Got sms from USCIS that card production on the way home. Waiting for interview 20 minutes. Interview took less than 30 min.
    7. Total time processing: 3 and 1/2 month; MSC is the center process my application.
    8. Note: you dont need attorney; follow USCIS step-by-step; review documents carefully before submit to save time later.

Hi I have a quick question and I hope you could help me. I have my interview on February 29th and on the notice letter it says that I have to show the petitioner's birth certificate and all the documents submitted for the case in original and copy. If no copy are issued then they will get the original. Do I need to have all the paperwork that I already submitted with the application for I-485? and also do I need to have the original of the petitioner's birth certificate or a copy will be enough? Because his original birth certificate is in California with his family and we only have a copy of it.
Thank you and Congrats on the green card.

      Hi Mihaella,

Yes, you need to prepare a copy folder of all original documents. It saves time for you and Officer. Birth Certificate: it is a must. The second interview will take another 3-4 months and it wastes of time for waiting. Better to prepare for the first time and get greencard on the spot immediately. Good luck

I was also wondering besides photos, and a two year lease we do not really have anything in common, like bank accounts and cars, or health insurance. We were both students when we met and I got a job and a car last year and then we got married in June 2015 and my husband is still a student and he does not have any jobs bc he is on a scholarship which also provides him a health insurance. What do you think I should take with me for proof of marriage. I mean we leaved together for 2 years before we got married and now we are still leaving together and our marriage is real but we just did not have the money to put it together yet since I do not make a lot and he does not have an income. Do you think I should be fine?

        Thank you for your reply.
