Adustment interviews vary by local office interview workload. The average seems to be about 6 months from when you submitted the paperwork if there are no complications while the paperwork is being processed.

In my experience, my husband's case never said "waiting to be scheduled for interview." We just heard (today) that our interview has been scheduled for March 8, 2016 (Boston). We submitted his I-485 paperwork on August 10, 2015.
