hi all, i have searched multiple times, but didn't see the answer, or maybe I am not sure what the right question is. I apologize if this has been answered before
If I was to file the i-485 (including EAD etc) from L1 to family based GC with a US citizen as spouse, would I need to wait until GC application was fully approved and card printed before gaining employment with anyone besides my original sponsor?
Is the EAD provided sooner, and if so while the adjustment of status is pending, is it still bound by the terms of the original L1, i.e. only working for the sponsoring company?
I think essentially the question is whether it is possible to be employed by a new company once the i-485 is in progress, or would one need to wait until it is completed and hopefully approved?
