  • Interview was yesterday 2/8/16

It went really really well. This is a case based on marriage and we went in together. When we first went into the room the interviewing officer asked for our ids. We swore in and sat down. I came to us when I was really little on a tourist visa and over stayed. A previous lawyer had told my parents to return the I-94s a while back around 6 months after we came in 2001. This in turn made immigration think that I had left the country and came back illegally, which was not the case. To prove this I came prepared with letters from my old elementary school, hs transcripts and college tuition bills. With this I was able to prove that I have been living in the us continuously. In my opinion they shouldn't have questioned this since I had already been approved for DACA in 2013. Anyway we didn't get asked many questions, just if we lived by ourselves, had any kids, and what plans we had for the future. I got asked questions if I was a terrorist, spy, had plans to become one etc etc. We also handed over bills, bank statements, pictures, and other documents we brought along. The officer looked at everything, handed some stuff back and said the happiest thing I could have heard: " ok I'm going to go ahead and approve your case. You should get you're new card in 2 weeks". And that is it. Now to just wait for my card .
