    Hi there community

A little background to my situation which may prove helpful. I entered the USA on a B2 visa in December as I came over to see my spouse for a few months who works here. There has been an offer of a promotion this month for my spouse which we both feel is beneficial to take but it means being in the USA and not UK. This was meant to be a temporary arrangement, with this news now I am looking into AOS as the way forward for us. I can stay until May but don't want to leave applying so late.

I will slowly work through forms as there appears to be a myriad of them to complete. I have already become stuck on the first one I downloaded!
On the I485 firm it asks for the non immigrant visa number. I looked in my passport and there is a control number and also a number in the bottom right which is in red. Non of which actually say it's a visa number.

Can anyone tell me which it might be please? Or whether it's a completely different number I should be looking for!
Brace yourselves as I may have other questions on different forms.

Ps I ticked option a on the Part 2 section as nothing else related, like I say I know I have to complete other firms and file concurrently I think the phrase is.

Also when a section didn't apply I put N/A abd it changed to zeros on the form, that ok?

    Kind regards

The nonimmigrant visa number is the red number on lower right of visa.

Thank you for that response. Would I be correct in choosing option (a) in Part 2 of the I485 form? I am completing this as the spouse of a US citizen.

I shall return with other questions or for clarification. I have had my first run through of other forms and any gaps I would appreciate help with sone queries but I would like to clear this up first before jumping onto other topics.

      Thank you

        Yes, "a" is correct.
