Hello,
So today we had our interview at the Baltimore Office. The interview it took around 25 minutes, the officer was really nice,
she asked how did we meet,
how did he propose,
he asked me his complete name,
where was he born,
if I get along with his family,
then she asked to my husband how I am and to tell her things about our relationship, he told her about our trips and vacations, how I like to cook, etc.
Then she asked me where does he work, I said and I gave her his last W2, and also our house rent. she took both documents, then she asked my husband again about is he knows my parents, and we offered to show her our photo album from day one -she was really impressed that we got pictures of our first date-, She saw a lot of pics, saw the ones from the wedding, asked who was there, and if it was a small or big one, we told her we will have the big one in Europe since our families live there.
Then while she was checking our last trip to visit my family in Christmas she said she was going to approve our case that we would get the green card on the mail. she asked me for my last I-94 form and she said really nice, 'Don't worry I will print it myself',
We also asked her to change my lastname to his one, she said no problem.
Then after that she said she was done, that if she needed something else she would contact Us, but that our interview was approved.
She asked us if we had any questions, I just asked that what was the next step, and she said 'Just wait for the green card on the mail', We said thank you, she said 'I am actually happy to finally see a real couple', we shaked hands, and said goodbye.
We took so many documents with us, the copies of all the documents we previously sent, plus our phone bills, bank statements, work letter, marriage certificate, etc. but She didnt ask for anything!!! so thats why I am worried.
The status changed online, to "my name changed" so I hope that that doesnt mean anything bad.
It is normal that she didnt ask or take any document from us?
Please, if anybody had an experience like this one, let me know...
