      EAD - Houston

I'm from Houston and I filed my EAD, advance parole with my AOS packet. PD is 5/2/2014 - married to us citizen

      4/25/2016: Notice of receipt date
      6/1/2016: biometics appointment
7/15/2016: Ready for interview on AOS
7/25/2016: Day 91 of EAD. So called to check on status
      7/26/2016: EAD approved
7/27/2016: my AOS was changed again to Ready for interview. Not sure why it changed.
      7/29/2016: EAD Mailed
7/30/2016: EAD received in mail. (Since I used a lawyer to do my AOS, it was mailed to their office.)

No word on my advance parole; still says they received my request on 4/25/2016. Not really worried about it, just as long as I have my EAD.

When I called to check on my EAD the officer I spoke to said she would escalate my request to the person that is working on my file since it had been over 90 days. Guess the call worked, so I suggest you can do the same.

          AOS - Green card

We live in Houston, Texas for about 6 years; My husband had been in the US on and off for many years on an E3 work visa from his Employer. Renewed every 2 years. It was to be renewed again February 2016. On 14 June 2015, last year, we got married. We've been together for for 11 years. I am US citizen.
We applied for his Green Card. We hired a lawyer June 2015. Paperwork was done and submitted:

On June 26 applications were received by USCIS.

          From online:
          I-130 application for alien relative
USCIS: On June 26, 2015, we received your Form I-130

I-131 application for travel document (We travel extensively overseas for work)
USCIS: Case Was Approved On September 19, 2015

          I-765 application for employment authorization
USCIS: Card Was Delivered To us By The Post Office On September 24, 2015

          USCIS:
On July 14, 2015, we received your correspondence for Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number xxx. We are reviewing your correspondence, and will mail you a notice if we need something from you.

On July 31, 2015, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number xxx. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you.
Apparently USCIS questioned something on the application.

We understand that Houston processing was delayed because immigration offices moved to a new facility.

We had our interview over 60 days ago, on 24 May. The attorney came with us. As it had been a year since the paperwork had been filed, the immigration agent requested more documents of proof that we live together, even though we brought evidence that we own a house together, that we both live at the same address, driver license with same address, that our 2 cars are in both our names as well as the insurance, have health insurance together. She wanted more, i.e. bank statements, utility bills. Which we submitted to the attorney the same day.

Here we are more than 60 days later, still no news. My husband’s work visa and travel authorization is about to expire in less 60 days, on 18 September 2016. Without that his job is in jeopardy.

I have been pushing the attorney for an update and she keeps saying that we have to be patient and if we want to renew the travel document and work authorization then we have to pay:

We would charge $650.00 to complete the work for the renewal of EAD and Advanced Parole.
          I-765: $380.00 (EAD)
          I-131: $360.00 (Advanced Parole)

Help! Immigration is taking so long and now we have to pay again to renew? Is this standard? Also, can anyone give insight as to timing for the green card in Houston?

Also, I took it upon myself to make an appointment with immigration, next week, will that be of any help?

THANK YOU for any insight and feedback!!!!!

Hi, my online status have never change to "ready for schedule a interview". I-485 case shows " on 17th-Dec. 2015 RFE response received". My I-130 case shows " on 4th- Sep. 2015 case was received". My priority date is 4th-Sep. 2015 I am still waiting for Houston local office to schedule a interview.
