  • Completing I 130 form

I require some help on the I 130 form please

On Q14 it asks the date I arrived in the USA. I have mentioned in previous posts I entered on my B2 visa at the end of September 2015. I have visited Mexico since then and my last entry back into the USA was in December 2015.

Are they asking for the last entry into the country or when I first entered the US?

Q22 asks about which USCUS office the relative will apply for AOS... Would that be Chicago or in Texas where I am currently?

On a side note the form does not allow me to enter a UK phone number Q19 asks for it. Would that be an issue?

    Hope you can help, thanks

    1. Enter the last I-94 entry date.
    2. Chicago is where you will submit your Adjustment package (Texas is also acceptable)
    3. Put your U.S. phone number i #22

      Ty

Thank You as that also helped me with similar query I had about the phone number. Benefits of people asking questions.

Thanks for the reply rayb, just got back from being away on a short trip.
The only hesitation I have on the I94 entry date is that it doesn't seem to be up to date (it's a Nov date online which was a seperate trip I made) as I was out of the country just before Xmas too therefore a December date is my last entry and I was questioned when I crossed.

Would USCIS not think I am not bring truthful when I know the date I last came in. If it suddenly appears on a database somewhere it would just raise questions wouldn't it?

Ps glad others have similar queries to mine such as gpiper and I'm not being too thick!

Your experience is similar to that of Canadian nationals entering the U.S without formal visas, and it is a "most recent" entry. Despite your lack of an I-94 record of the entry (are you sure there is no I-94 record?), I have to reverse my advice and suggest that you you the most recent return to the U.S.

            Hello once again rayb
I have checked the official site where I can find my travel history and my previous trips to Mexico have been recorded but not the December trip. I investigated further on the website and it does go on to say that sometimes it may not be visible to travellers to see each entry and exit (maybe the volume of people).
I can assure the USCIS I was inspected at the time in December as I was held for what border officers said was random selection for secondary inspection. The questions were along the lines of why would I need to keep crossing the border. When I explained it was to meet with my spouses relatives it became a less tense affair.
I'm not sure what activity they suspected me of as they never accused me of anything.
            Thanks
