  • Request For Initial Evidence

    Hi community,

I got a request for initial evidence letter from the USCIS and they basically asking me to submit evidence of joint sponsor current income.
We did sent that, since my joint sponsor is self employed (has a business) we sent his tax return. I dont know why they asking for that again.

Also the letter says that the income of my joint sponsor did not meet 125% of the poverty guideline for his household size.

    Please help!

          Hi SmartAlley,

USCIS has already reviewed your application form & since you have not provided all mandate documents USCIS is now seeking RFE (Request For Evidence). Also, you have mentioned in your question your joint sponsor is a self-employed & you send his Tax return. Based on the family size, USCIS has declared poverty line. You can check in the USCIS Website about this or take up an infopass appointment to get clarified.
