We received a biometrics appointment for my 5 y/o son. Will interview be conducted? What should I expect?

Well with unruly children running amock I think it's a very good idea that the USCIS catch such behaviour of minors as early as possible.
I think the best thing you can do is to sit down with your 5 year old and coach him/her as to the types of questions that will be asked and to memorise suitable responses.
Having them familiar with the usual interrogation techniques so as to know what to expect would also be useful.
You can expect USCIS officers to be appropriately dressed in attire befitting the situation so maybe expect Bert and Ernie to conduct the interview or if you are really lucky it could even be Big Bird !!

Failing that, if time permits between now and the interview date you could request an infopass appointment to point out the mistake. (However that is the more boring option if you ask me)
