  • congenital heart disease and I485 medical

I have been identified with a congenital heart dicease (Tricuspid valve being Bicuspid) and there are no problems because of that so far. I have an active life style and things are fine.

Now, would this be a reason for rejection of GC? Please help me to find an answer.

I am not an expert. I have recently had my medical examination per the Immigration's request. From my expirience, the medical exam isn't that extensive. Meaning to go as far as do Cardio exams. The doctor will draw blood for the purpose of checking for HIV/Syphillis basically communicable diseases.

The will also carry out the TB skin test and/or Xray exam to determine if you are a carrier of TB.

You would meet with the doctor and he/she will carry out physical exam check your breathing, heart-not extenstensively to determine your condition, unless of course it is something that can be determined by a simple exam. Do an Ear nose throat checkup, and the interview you regarding your health history.

Ask you if you are on any medication/drugs. At this time I think you are to disclose any conditions that you have. In which case i think they are required to talk to you about treatment, if you are not already having that taken care of. They will make a note of your condition on the form.

I know that disease that are sexually transmitted, mental disorders are a "Red Flag" I think those would definitely be issues for concern.

This is MY opinion of your condition. I really don't think that yours will be a factor. And if your doctor clears you- fills out the form and gives you a sealed envelop then that means you are ok. They just dont' want people who will be a danger to the public, or a strain to the "public" health system funds.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert, just an applicant like you and this is my 2 cents worth opinion. If you carry out research online you can learn more on medical conditions.

PS: I also learned there is a form i think I-600? This form is a waiver. Should the Immigration rule you in admissible based on a medical condition, you can always file a waiver. From a general discussion with my lawyer it is a tough one to get approval and usual has a lot of delays.

    Hope that helps!

I submitted my Request of Evidence package last week. Keeping my fingers crossed for a favorable response. It has been 10+ years in this pursuit. Keep me in your prayers and good thoughts.

Thanks for the prayers. I will also keep you in mine and everything should go smoothly.

PS:I forgot to mention that your doctor will check the Vaccination records, the required shots. I am sure you know about those. You can get those at the state health department- maybe slightly cheaper or at the doctor's exam. Just make sure that the card they issue you after the shots indicates your shots. And when administered.

        All the best again
