I am an American married to a Canadian and applying for his adjustment of status. We just moved to the US in November 2015. I know that I have to show that I make 125% of the poverty line. I can only show 2 months of income on my tax return for 2015. I explained that I am salary and that my tax return only reflects 2 months of pay. I also have assets to show as well. I am wondering if there will be a problem since my tax return only shows 2 months worth of income? I am also self employed and do not have pay stubs.
