It seems that they are taking longer then normal all over the states. My advice is to check USCIS case processing time under the city that is closes to you. For instance if your in Minnesota and Saint Paul is the field office closes to you, then that is the field office that you need to see what time frame they are processing I-485s. At the moment for instance, St. Pail MN is processing December 27, 2015 AOS cases per the last update in November. So, that means that they aren't processing July 2016 applications. Unless for some miracle, in the new update done this week or beginning of next it has progressed excessively. So my advice to you is stay patient and don't give up. At least you got your EAD and AP approved. Something is better then nothing. And I'm sure also, if you haven't received an RFE (request for evidence) then all should be okay on your paper work.

Also, check the following links as to what i am referring to on checking your status and the field office processing time frame
View case status online using your receipt number, which can be found on notices that you may have received from USCIS. Also, sign up for Case Status Online to: . Receive automatic case status updates by email or text message, . View your case history and upcoming case activities, . Check the status of multiple cases and inquiries that you may have submitted to USCIS

I have heard another side to this question: Petition's and Applications are processed by Priority Dates?
Hmmm... if that was the case, when would I expect an interview notice? My Priority Date is May 2, 2014. Filing from Houston, TX. I'm a spouse of a natural born US citizen (IR-1).

    Thanks.

I came to United States on F1 visa. My wife is Green Card Holder and she filed I-130 in October, 2015 which got Approved in March, 2016. I filed for AOS, I-765 and I-131 in October,2016. I-765 got approved in Jan, 20017 and Figner Print done in November, 2016. I-131 and I-485 is still pending. Now, my question is my EAD has been approved so do i have to continue my F1 Student Visa status or is it okay if i drop my school and continue full time working? i am still waiting for my Interview call. Pleae help me out because i am getting mixed review about this situation. My primary lawyer suggested that i must have to maintain my F1 visa status until i get Interview letter while there are some online forms which says in this situation it is not necessary to maintain F1 status.
      Thank You.

From what I know, you can work on the side with your EAD but you have to maintain yor F1 status because thats what you have right now. You're not officially a green card holder so you have to rely ur F1 status which means you have to keep going to school to maintain your I-20. If you start working full time and drop out of school while your F1 visa is still valid and no green card, it might put you in troubles. Im only speaking from experience and from people i know that has F1 status and applied for AOS. Once you're approved for green card, then you can let your school know and work without EAD and decide if you want to keep going to school or not. For now i suggest staying in school just like what your lawyer said

          Concurrent filing i-485 and i-130

Hello friends - I am a UK citizen married to a USC living/working in San Francisco on an O1 visa, looking for permanent status.

Here is my timeline - hope it’s useful

          Oct 10 - filed i-485, i-130, i-693 and i-864 concurrently to Chicago lockbox
          Nov 4th - checks cashed
Nov 6th - Receipt Notice received with Receipt number starting MSC - Status reads as Fingerprint Fee Received for i-485
Nov 10th - Received biometrics appointment
Nov 22nd - Attended biometrics appointment
Dec 5th - Status updated to i-485 Case is Ready to be Scheduled for An Interview

          No updates since.

          Questions:
          1) Why do all the updates refer only to i-485 when I filed the i-130 at the same time. Is this normal? With concurrent filing should I have separate status updates for i-130?

          2) I know they can do a RFE at any time, but does this mean there are no material issues with our submission (missing forms etc)?

You should have received two separate case numbers for I485 and I130 (USCIS treats every form filed as a separate case, and hence assigns separate case numbers). My guess is you are tracking only the case number associated with your I485 filing, and hence the status updates you see are regarding only I485. Track the case number associated with I130 and you should be able to see the information regarding that case.

            2) I know they can do a RFE at any time, but does this mean there are no material issues with our submission (missing forms etc)?
If they need any information regarding your I130 petition they will mail you the same. For your I485 your status message should read something like: "your case has been filed properly", etc., which would mean that at least your initial application package was fine. If they need any further information you will see a status update and recieve a mail asking for the same.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.

Your i-485 and I-130 in general will be processed by your field office. MSC only take care of I-765 and some other documents.

                    I-485 - adjust status

                    Hey guys,
                    this thread is SO interesting!

Quick help needed. I'm Italian, moved to NYC in 2014 with L1A and currently working for the same employer (Visa valid until 2019). I got married to a USC in 2015 and applied for the Green Card in December 2016 sending the package to Chicago:

                    I-130 - I-131 - I-765 Receipt notice date: 12/17/2017.
                    I-485 received: 12/17/2017
                    I-130 - I- 485 Priority date: 12/08/2016
                    Fingerprint appointment: 01/12/2017

If I check on the the https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do I get:
"As of February 1, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC YYYY ZZZ, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice."

Is what above stated updated? Is it reliable? If I check on the https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do site I see that the Filed Office on NY (which is exactly in front of my place!) is still processing the I-485 sent in march 2016, and that's really scary.

Can you help me figure out what I should do or check?

                    Thanks!

I'm in this exact same position (filing for AoS from an F-1 OPT extension) and that's what I have as well. Mind you, the NYC field office is taking more or less 10 months from the priority date to adjudicate these cases—or at least that's what I've been able to deduce from multiple threads and the information available on the web. My PD is 12/21, also filing from NYC, and at this point I'm expecting the interview to happen sometime between August and September. I hope I'm wrong and that it'll happen before. What's pissing me off big time is that my prior EAD expired last week and the new EAD derived from this AoS process has not been approved yet, and today is day 90. My employer is obviously not happy about this.

Anyway, good luck and lots of patience to us all.

                      Priority Date - 12/21/2016
Biometrics - 1/30/2017 at Bronx ASC
                      Case Ready for Interview: 2/13/2017
                      EAD/AP approval notification: 4/1/2017
                      Interview notice: 10/31/2017
Interview appointment: 12/5/2017 in Manhattan, NYC
Notice of approval of I-485, I-130: 12/12/2017, received by mail on 12/18/2017

i 130, AOS package is still pending. No update

                        Hello friends,

I am in a similar situation like you all.My wife is a US Citizen and she filed for my immigration. I came here on F1 visa and completed my masters already. She applied for my AOS documents before my F1 visa expired. Here is the update-

                        Filed I-130: Sept 26th, 2016
                        Filed I-485, I-765, I-131: January 25th, 2017
                        Called for biometrics: February 24th,2017
Request for initial evidences I-864 (affidavit of support): February 15th, 2017
Initial evidences mailed to DHS: March 27th, 2017
DHS received evidences; March 30th, 2017 (changed my case status to received)

I am concerned any idea when I will get approval notice for I-130? It has been 6 months and I didn't get any response for my I-130 except they sent my I-130 application to other office on 16th feb 2017 due to work load. Also, when I will get my EAD card? Please let me know if you have any idea about it.

                        Thank You-

I filed i-130 & i-485 for both of my parents 5/16/16 to NBC, i-130 was never approved or denied, SR response reason was because they were filed together, so the final decision will be made during i-485 approval. I also went to a info pass appointment in my local SF office, was told because my parents case had interview waiver, their i-485 would not get transferred to the local office, and will be processed at the NBC. BUT on USCIS website, it clearly states NBC does not make final decision on i-485 and it would get transfered to the local office. Does any one know what i can expect at this point? Several SR has been made, but I never received any response letter. Can any suggest what I should do? Thank you in advance.
