Hi everyone,
I just discovered the forum and it has been very informative during this time while I am going through the process myself.
My current timeline so far:
2/22/16 - Married my USC spouse while on B2 visa
3/14/16 - Priority date / Received date (for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131) - mine is to the National Benefits Center (or MSC) though I reside in Texas
3/17/16 - Fees received for my I-485
3/28/16 - My lawyer receives the notices of receipts for the 4 forms
4/06/16 - Received Notice for Biometrics for I-485 and I-765 applications. Notice date was 3/28/16 and appointment date was 4/12/16.
4/06/16 - Notices of Receipts for I-130, I-485 and I-765 were returned to USCIS as Post Office was unable to deliver them. I have copies because the same notices were sent to my lawyer as well (thankfully).
4/06/16 - USCIS sent me a document for my I-130 application. I have no clue what this document may be.
4/07/16 - Walk-in for my biometrics (was there at 10 am and waited till slightly past 12 noon)
I called the USCIS support center today about the problem of my notices being returned (as the status online comes with a warning that it could have a serious effect on my case). They were pretty helpful on the phone and gave me a referral number for an officer to handle my inquiry. Hopefully mailing glitch would not affect the processing time of my case - has anyone had any experience on whether the notice of receipt for I-130, I-485 and I-765 being returned made an impact on their case time?
I am now trying to find out what document the USCIS sent me in relation to my I-130 application - it was sent out on the same day my notice of receipt was returned to the USCIS, so I am a little worried that they are returning my I-130 application. Waiting to hear back from the support center after I scheduled a call back.
It has been less than 30 days in from my application date and so far, it has been nerve wrecking with the undelivered notices. I am anxiously waiting for my EAD/AP particularly since my husband just graduated and it has been tough on us financially with him looking for full time employment (plus my income would typically be higher than his).
If anyone has any experience to share, or if you are in the same/similar situation, I would love to hear from you - this could be our mini support group.
