  • Timeline with Newark, NJ field office processing time - for AOS (i485)

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the processing times for I 485 of the Newark, NJ Field office. Our PD is Nov 10, 2015.

The case status on USCIS website says this :
"On November 10, 2015, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC **** **** ** Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Just FYI ours is a sibling case - US Citizen filing for brother/sister

Any help, information, experience would be helpful

    Thanks guys!!!!

The wait times depend on the home countries of the beneficiaries. Siblings of US citizens will have to wait for more than 12 years to get Green cards. Siblings of US citizens who belong to China and few other countries are likely to get immigrant visas within 12 years. But people who belong to other countries will have to wait for more than 12 years to immigrate to the United States and to get Green Cards. Beneficiaries who belong to Mexico and India need to wait for 17 and 20 years respectively. Siblings from Philippines will have to wait longer to immigrate to the United States through family based immigration. They need to wait for more than 24 years to get permanent visas to immigrate to America.

So i would say couple years..
